Lionel Bart’s Oliver! is a musical adaptation of Charles Dickens’ Oliver Twist, following a young orphan who escapes a harsh workhouse for London’s criminal underworld. Taken in by the Artful Dodger and the conniving Fagin, Oliver navigates a dangerous life of pickpocketing before finding a loving home, ultimately escaping the villainous Bill Sikes with help from the kind-hearted Nancy.
